After much ado, the Michigan chapter of the User Experience Professionals Association is BACK! And we’re kicking things off with Pamela Pavliscak on Monday, July 10th in Ann Arbor.
Pamela Pavliscak is founder of Change Sciences, an insights and innovation firm, where she works with organizations ranging from IKEA to TIAA to the USDA to design for wellbeing. She currently serves on a global initiative to develop the IEEE standard for ethics and AI, with a focus on artificial emotional intelligence. Pamela is also faculty at The Pratt Institute where she teaches design research and studies our emotional relationship with technology. Designing for Happiness, her book about how to create a tech future that contributes to our wellbeing, will be published by O’Reilly in fall 2017. She has written for Quartz, Mashable, Smashing, and other design and tech publications. And has spoken at SXSW, TEDx, Web Summit, and other industry conferences.
