Promoting user experience in Michigan
Abstract
Stan Driskell presents Spider Controls, a new paradigm for the design of graphic user interfaces (GUIs) based on a universal graphic that displays menu, list/combo box, toolbar, palette, and dialog box options in a common format. This universal graphic makes it easy to embed any type of control, including list boxes, spin buttons, radio buttons, and check boxes.

World Usability Day for Michigan
The event focused on usability in healthcare and included workshops and presentations on usability in software, products, and health care services by the following usability experts: Jason Withrow, Richard Sheridan, Jennifer Baird, Shane Lovellette, Janine A. Purcell, James Brennan, Sumanth Muthyala, Ergin Salih, Laurie Kantner, and Dr. S. Ann Becker.
