World Usability Day is the largest gathering of industry professionals,world-class academics, government leaders, and students facilitating the progression of usability, user experience, and user-centered design. In 2012, the World Usability Day community held over 150 events in more than 40 countries. During the last five years, over 1,500 conference participants from all parts of North America representing industry, government, and academia have attended the annual event at Michigan State University.
This year’s theme is healthcare: collaborating for better systems. The importance of user-centered design in healthcare is truly life or death. Whether it’s new medical devices or technologies; drug research, patient forms or medical record sharing; emergency disaster planning or increasing the functionality of hospitals and everyday healthcare delivery, everyone is affected in some way by the intersection of usability in healthcare.
We are happy to promote 3 amazing events to celebrate World Usability Day 2013, right here in Michigan.
